The new £4.6m creative arts building at Norwich City College features mirror-polished stainless steel-faced panels produced in - where else? - Sheffield.
Panel Systems helped create a striking western façade to the building.
The panels were specified by architects BDP, working in partnership with main contractor Graham Construction.
Danny Phelan, Panel Systems sales manager, said: “Polished mirror steel-faced panels were an innovative choice on this prestigious project, where aesthetics were all-important. It was essential too that we were able to manufacture to tight tolerances in order that the desired aesthetics of the building were achieved.”
Wayne Head, architect director at BDP in London, said: “Not only do they look great, but they work collaboratively with Brise Soleil and the aluminium window frames to help to reduce heat gain in the building in summer and reduce reliance on mechanical heating and cooling.”
