Shipleys on move to Wharf House

Chartered tax advisors and accountants Shipleys Tax has moved to new riverside offices in Sheffield’s Victoria Quays.

The firm has relocated to city centre accommodation at Wharf House, a Georgian grade two listed building, once headquarters of Sheffield Canal Basin.

The expansion sees Shipleys Tax retain its offices in Bradford and Birmingham and tax specialist Shabeer Yousuf says the change of address in Sheffield is a real statement about their business intentions.

He said: “Wharf House represents a significant step for us in terms of profile. Not only does it allow Shipleys to have a waterfront based head office but also improve links with our city centre clients, local professional advisors and high net worth businesses. Our business has undergone significant growth in the last few years and this move is an indicator of our success as specialist tax advisors.”

Despite being transformed into modern office space, three-storey Wharf House, which underwent a major renovation in 1992 as part of the redevelopment of the quay, has retained many of its original features.

Tim Bottrill, partner at the Sheffield office of Knight Frank, agents for Wharf House, said: “Wharf House offered Shipleys all of the attributes which are highly sought after by modern businesses.”

Victoria Quays already hosts a range of offices, hotels, cafés and restaurants.
