Many businesses are failing to run at peak efficiency because of technological shortcomings, an specialist has warned.
At a time of intense competition in the market place, inefficient systems are costing companies valuable customers, says Charles Kavazy, Director of IT Services for Sheffield-based independent chartered accountants and business advisers Hawsons.
He said: “A significant area of weakness is where companies are running two separate software systems, for example one where they do their prospecting and selling and another for accounting. An integrated system could be freeing up valuable time for selling.
“An example we come across regularly is where time is spent each day re-keying internet orders into another system. It’s such a waste of valuable time.’’
