A top South Yorkshire secondary is to hold a workshop showcasing a variety of apprenticeships, 21st century style.
The event at Penistone Grammar School will feature options in digital media, social media, technology and accounting.
The apprenticeships are being offered by training agency 3aaa, which has a centre in Sheffield.
Advice is being offered at the Barnsley secondary in the wake of the A-level and GCSE results season, helping young people plan for their futures.
Andy Palmer from 3aaa said an apprenticeship could help a young person land their dream job.
“The aim is to offer young people life-changing opportunities and provide an excellent apprenticeship experience for both apprentices and their employers,” he said.
“Companies who recruit apprentices provide young people with an alternative to university with a focus on real life skills and experience as they are offered their first steps into the career of their dreams.
“We always work with our employers to make sure that training and assessment fits with their needs, and we deliver an experience that transforms lives and businesses.”
