Busy night for firefighters across South Yorkshire

South Yorkshire firefighters were called out to a series of small fires across the region overnight.

Arsonists targeted a pile of rubbish on the Trans Pennine Way on Lund Lane, Lundwood, Barnsley.

A fire crew from Cudworth was called to the blaze just after 7pm.

Arsonists also torched a vacant outbuilding on Station Road, Stainforth, Doncaster at around 8.15pm, a Fiat Punto on Snail Hill, in Rotherham town centre shortly after 10.30pm and a garden shed on Bruce Avenue, Worsbrough Common, Barnsley just before 1am this morning.
