SHEFFIELD Cathedral is to stage its first major dinner and charity evening.
The main body of the 1,000-year-old church will host Sheffield Chamber of Commerce’s president’s annual dinner on May 12 in aid of The Cathedral Archer Project, which works with homeless and other vulnerable people. More than 400 guests are expected, with the majority of the pews being removed.
Chamber president Yuri Matischen said: “An event of this type has never taken place at the Cathedral before and we hope all Chamber members will look to be a part of the night.”
Tickets cost £59 plus VAT. Tel 201 8899.
