Celebrities are making their final preparations ahead of the Morrisons Great Yorkshire Run in Sheffield at the weekend.

Actor Dean Andrews, famous for starring in the Life on Mars series and Last Tango in Halifax, is among those due to line up on Arundel Gate on Sunday morning to take part in the 10k.

He will be joined by fellow actor Chris Chittell, who plays Eric Pollard in Emmerdale and is a regular in the race.

Emmerdale actress Eden Taylor-Draper, who plays Belle Dingle, is also registered to take part in the annual event, which attracts thousands to Sheffield.

Rotherham-based former Premier League and World Cup football referee, Howard Webb, will also be at the start line.

The race, which takes runners from Arundel Gate to Hillsborough and back via Penistone Road, is being staged for the ninth year.
