Chatsworth will be in the limelight on Boxing Day with the screening of a major BBC drama, Death Comes to Pemberley.
The estate is the romantic backdrop for sequel to Pride and Prejudice based on the novel by PD James.
Locations inside and out are featured in the one off special starring Matthew Rhys and Anna Maxwell Martin, which will be broadcast on BBC1 at 8.15pm.
More than 100 cast and crew were at Chatsworth for a week in July. The Painted Hall, Great Dining Room, Sculpture Gallery and Oak Room were featured, and horses and carriages were seen coming and going.
Spokeswoman Stephanie Cliffe said: “Staff from across the estate were involved with the filming and we can’t wait to see results of all the behind the scenes work.
“Our visitors thoroughly enjoyed seeing the filming taking place, and some even got to meet the stars themselves when they came off set. Matthew Rhys certainly gave some of our visitors a real thrill in his guise as Mr Darcy!”
