Sheffield is to host a range of activities as part of a week-long celebration of parks and green spaces.
Around 20 venues will be running events during Love Parks Week 2014.
Children will be able to take part in zorbing, climbing, and parachute games and sports including football, tennis and rounders. Some parks will also host arts and craft sessions.
Events will be organised by Activity Sheffield for Sheffield Council, including funfairs and Tramlines music festival, to be held at Endcliffe Park and Weston Park on July 26 and 27.
Coun Isobel Bowler, member for culture, sport and leisure, said: “Sheffield has some of the finest green spaces of any city in not just the UK, but the world.
“From smaller urban parks such as Ruskin Park to vast expanses such as Graves Park, the city really does have something to offer everybody – and there is no finer time to explore the landscapes on our doorstep than during Love Parks Week.
“I would encourage everyone to sample the wide range of activities on offer and make the most of Sheffield’s parks and green spaces.”
