A MAN has been charged with the murder of a three-year-old girl who died after being rushed to hospital from a house in Sheffield.
Paramedics were called to an address on Beck Road, Shiregreen, on Friday night, and rushed youngster Lylah Aaron to Sheffield Children’s Hospital, where she died in the early hours of the next morning.
The property was taped off following the incident.
Delroy Catwell, aged 30, of Beck Road, appeared at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with Lylah’s murder.
An initial post-mortem examination has been carried out, but more tests are needed, and it could be weeks until the full results are known.
Neighbours described the toddler as a ‘little angel’. Margaret Caulfield, 67, said the death was ‘awful and shocking’. “I have lived here for 40-odd years and I’ve never known anything as serious as this,” she added.
