Continental market in town

A TASTE of Europe will be on offer in Barnsley next week when a continental market is held in the town.

The market in Cheapside, May Day Green and Peel Square precincts will run from Wednesday until Saturday and will offer produce from Spain, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Holland and Poland - as well items from nearer to home.

Visitors will be able to buy breads, pastries, wine, beer, meats, cheeses, clothing and gifts on more than 40 stalls.

The market will run from 9am to 5.30pm on each day

It is provided and managed by Market Place Europe in association with Barnsley Council’s markets service.
