Police are asking people to help trace this man after a high value bicycle was stolen from Sheffield railway station.
The £1,000 bike was secured in the station’s cycle shed by its 23-year-old owner.
But when he returned later the same day he discovered his lock had been cut and the bike had been stolen.
British Transport Police are investigating and have released this CCTV image to help identify a man who officers believe may have key information.
PC Matthew Peters said: “Sadly bicycles are a popular target for thieves but there are lots of things people can do to make sure their property is adequately marked and secured. It’s important to register your bike and ensure a solid lock is used. If a bike is adequately marked, it makes it much easier to identify and helps reduce the risk of becoming a victim of bike theft.”
The theft happened on Saturday, December 21. Call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting NEA/B3 of 8/1/2014.
