MONDAY marks 100 days until the election of a new South Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner.
The public will be able to vote for their PCC on November 15, with the winner taking office a week later.
The commissioner will replace the county’s Police Authority and take over the role of holding the police force and Chief Constable to account.
They will also decide how the policing budget is spent and consult on community safety. Their first priority will be to set the council tax precept and approve the Police and Crime Plan for 2013/14.
