A MEMBER of the public helped police to seize drugs with a street value of £1,000.
Officers received a call from a resident reporting the suspicious behaviour of two men on Claremont Street in Rotherham, and when police arrived the duo fled.
They were chased along a number of streets and through gardens, and when officers caught up with them they seized a large amount of cash and drugs worth £1,000.
Officers also conducted a house search where more cash was found.
The two men, aged 23 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of dealing drugs.
PC Jon Revill said: “Without the information from the member of public, we wouldn’t have known these two men were in the area.”
