A MAN was stabbed and two women hurt in a violent incident which led to five arrests on a Sheffield estate.
Police were called to Castledine Gardens, Wincobank, in the early hours of yesterday following reports of a disturbance.
They discovered a man with puncture wounds and two women with minor injuries.
The man was taken to Sheffield’s Northern General Hospital where his condition was not thought to be life threatening.
The two women were taken to Rotherham General Hospital with minor injuries.
A police spokeswoman said five men were arrested on suspicion of wounding in connection with the incident, which happened at about 3am, and they were last night assisting officers with enquiries.
Castledine Gardens was cordoned off by police yesterday. An officer said it was a “semi-sterile” crime scene which would be preserved pending an investigation from forensic officers.
