Detectives are continuing to quiz five people on suspicion of murder following a blaze at a flat in Sheffield.

A 44-year-old man died as a result of the fire which broke out in Bluebell Close, Wincobank, shortly after midnight yesterday.

Four man, aged 23, 53 and two 21-year-olds, and a 46-year-old woman were all arrested on suspicion of murder.

A joint investigation between South Yorkshire Police and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue is underway to establish both the cause of the man’s death and the cause of the fire.
