A MAN from Sheffield has been jailed for helping his brother to run an international child porn network sending millions of indecent images and films of children to paedophiles in 46 countries.

Paul Frost, aged 37, of Ryan Drive, Woodhouse and his brother Ian Frost, 35, were part of a group which ran uncensored news groups on the internet where vile paedophiles could download and share child pornography.

The news groups, which paedophiles paid to subscribe to, made cash for the gang, which also included Ian Frost’s 34-year-old partner Paul Rowland, with whom he lived in Woodhall Spa, Lincolnshire, and 32-year-old friend Ian Sambridge, of St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Paul and Ian Frost, along with Sambridge, all pleaded guilty to distributing indecent images of children, while Rowland admitted distributing, making and possessing indecent images of children.

Paul Frost was jailed for 15 months while his ringleader brother and partner Rowland were each jailed for 33 months.

Sambridge got a suspended sentence.

Mr Justice Calvert-Smith, sentencing the gang, said he believed all the defendants knew that indecent images of children were available to download but chose not to remove them for financial gain.

They made £2.2 million over seven years and were caught after a tip-off from police in Germany.

The judge added: “It is astonishing that four such people, well-educated, should choose to embark on the course that they did.

“It’s equally astonishing that hardly a word of regret has fallen from the lips of any defendant for the victims depicted in their news groups.”
