Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired in a Sheffield suburb.

Shots were fired towards a pub in Main Street, Grenoside, at around 8pm on Saturday, November 7, causing damage to an external door.

The incident was reported to South Yorkshire Police yesterday.

No-one was hurt in the shooting and officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police are carrying out enquiries in the Grenoside area of Sheffield following reports of a firearms discharge.

“It is believed that at around 8pm on Saturday, November 7, shots were fired towards a pub in Main Street, Grenoside, causing damage to an external door.”
