Second man charged over Darnall murder

Detectives investigating the murder of a Darnall man who was found with stab wounds at his flat have charged a second man with his murder.

Corry Walters, aged 22, of Stubbin Lane, Firth Park has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 3.

Mohammed Khalil, aged 42, was taken to hospital after he was found with serious injuries at his flat in Greenland Drive, Darnall, at around 1am on Tuesday, October 21.

He died a short time later.

A post mortem examination revealed that he died as a result of multiple stab wounds.

Connor O’Brien, aged 26, of Jubilee Road, Darnall, has also been charged with Mr Khalil’s murder and will appear before Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, November 7.

A 40-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of an offensive weapon and two 20-year-old men arrested on suspicion of murder remain on police bail.
