A man arrested in connection with a missing Sheffield teenager - who has been gone for six days - was released on police bail today.

Police are still searching for Erika Kacicova, 13, of Poole Road in Darnall, across South and West Yorkshire.

A twenty-two year old man from Bradford came forward to police in Bradford on Friday.

He was arrested on suspicion of child abduction and was released on police bail this morning.

Police say they are growing ‘increasingly concerned’ for Erika’s welfare as she has never been away from home on her own for so long.

Erika was last seen at around 4pm on Monday August 5, leaving her family home.

Investigating officers think Erika maybe in the Bradford area of West Yorkshire, possibly staying with friends.

A team of South Yorkshire officers remain in Bradford to look for her there and work with colleagues in West Yorkshire to help locate the missing teen.

Detective Inspector Helen Tate said: “It is now the sixth day of the investigation and I’d like to thank the media and public for helping to try and find Erika.

“Please remember she is a young girl, who has never been away from home for this long before and we want her to return safe and well.

“Please contact us on 101 if you think you know where Erika is or may have any information to help find her.

“Erika, if you are reading this, please let us know you are okay. You’re not in any trouble, we just need to know you are safe and well. ”

Erika is described as being around 4ft 11ins tall, Eastern European, of slim build, with long, dark-brown, straight hair and brown eyes.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, pink polo-style shirt and a silvery-grey coloured jacket.
