A TEENAGE boy has been arrested by police over a robbery in a Sheffield park.

The 15-year-old was quizzed by officers from the Woodseats and Gleadless Safer Neighbourhood Team.

The teenager was arrested after a report of a robbery in Graves Park at around 6.30pm last Friday.

He has been bailed pending further inquiries.

Officers want to hear from witnesses, anyone who saw anything suspicious in the park, or anyone with information about the offence.

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 862 of Friday, August 3.

* A SPATE of thefts from cars is being investigated by police in Sheffield after they were targeted over the weekend.

The cars were parked on Lupton Road, Lowedges; Albert Road in Heeley; Gibbons Walk in Gleadless Valley; Reney Avenue, Greenhill; Rundle Road, Sharrow; Montgomery Road, Nether Edge; Cherry Tree Road, Sharrow and Westwick Road, Greenhill.

A car was also broken into on Norton Park View, overnight on Monday into Tuesday.
