A LEADING businesswoman has been named South Yorkshire’s new High Sheriff.
The married mum-of-three is boss of security equipment manufacturer Pyronix, based in Rotherham.
During her year in office, Mrs Kenny will be expected to support the Crown and the judiciary, as well as lending her support to the region’s crime prevention agencies, emergency services and the voluntary sector.
Mrs Kenny is one of the three government-appointed commissioners to oversee improvements of governance at Doncaster Council.
She said: “I am honoured to have been chosen for this role. It will be a great pleasure to support the work of the voluntary sector in the region.”
