Thieves have broken into 28 sheds at a Chesterfield allotment - stealing hundreds of pounds worth of gardening equipment in the raid.
The sheds were targeted between 4.30pm on Monday and 4.30am on Tuesday at an allotment site on Ashfield Road in Hasland.
Thieves stole eight hedge cutters, five garden shears, three hedge trimmers and a leaf blower and also damaged a number of other sheds in an attempt to gain entry to them.
Anyone with any information or who may have been offered to purchase similar items to those stolen is asked to contact Derbyshire Police on 101, quoting incident 128 of October 14.
