VIDEO: Three men arrested following stabbing in Sheffield

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a stabbing in the Firth Park area of Sheffield.

The incident occurred at around 9.30pm on Friday outside the Old Firth Park Library on Firth Park Road.

Emergency services were called to reports that an 18-year-old man had been injured. Police said he was rushed to hospital for treatment where he remains in a serious condition.

Three 20-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and have been bailed while enquiries continue.

Brett Senior, aged 25, who lives nearby the scene, said he first knew of the incident when he saw blue flashing lights from his home.

He said: “I didn’t think it was anything too serious until I got a call from a friend saying they couldn’t get to my house because part of the road was shut off.

“The police stayed until around 1am and then yesterday an officer came to the door to ask if we had seen or heard anything about the incident, which we hadn’t.

“People are always walking up and down the road but this part is pretty quiet, nobody hangs around that area as such.”
