SHEFFIELD High School pupil Hannah Grunwerg has dance her way to four gold medals at the Maccabi Games in New York.

The 13-year-old also won silver at the week-long event, which attracts Jewish teen competitors from across the world.

Hannah struck gold for ballet solo, tap solo, the Team GB Israeli Dance – which Hannah had choreographed jointly in Sheffield and then taught to fellow team members in New York – and for choreography throughout all her routines.

The silver came for ballroom/Latin medley in which she performed in the open section against several acrobatic routines.

In the Lyrical, Hannah was involved in a close fight for third place, finishing just one point out of 300 behind the bronze medal winner.

Team GB’s 64 athletes had their best-ever games, winning 96 medals, with the six members of the dance team taking 26 of them.
