THE most famous lady in country music is returning to South Yorkshire for an arena show later this year.

Dolly Parton - legendary singer, actress and songwriter – will steer her world tour in honour of new album Better Day to Sheffield’s Motorpoint Arena on September 12.

The Smoky Mountain Songbird is taking hits such as 9 To 5, Here You Come Again, Jolene and I Will Always Love You to nine UK cities.

Promising new costumes and sets, Dolly said: “I had a great time when we were in Europe on the last Backwoods Barbie tour and I expect to have even more fun on the up and coming Better Day Tour.

“I’m really looking forward to this and I can’t wait to see all the fans again. We have a lot of fun things for everybody. My fans in the UK have always been so kind to me so I am thrilled that we have been able to provide a way to give something back to them.”

Dolly has written more than 4,000 songs and had numerous number one hits. She is also famous for her theme park, Dollywood, in Tennessee. Tickets, priced £67.50, £60 and £50 go on sale at 9am on Friday through www.livenation.co.uk. All tickets are subject to a booking fee.
