The Harlequin pub on Nursery Street scooped the Campaign For Real Ale Pub of The Month award for May and the Sheffield CAMRA Cider Pub Of The Year.

The bar is popular with real ale drinkers and won praise for its cider range for having up to 14 real ciders in their own section on the bar.

A spokesperson for CAMRA said: “Add to that a comprehensive range of cask, keg and bottled beers and weekend live music events and it’s no surprise the awards have been rolling in.”

Kate Major, the new chairman for Sheffield and District CAMRA, and cider branch co-ordinator Sarah Mills presented the two awards recently to landlady Liz Aspden.
