WILD and energetic belly dancing performers are to wow crowds at the Chesterfield Canal Festival.
Urban Gypsies, who featured on TV show Britain’s Got Talent, are appearing at the event on the weekend of June 30 and July 1, at the new Staveley Town Basin.
There will also be bands, clog dancers, choirs and drama groups performing, plus attractions such as bird of prey flying displays.
On the Saturday night, there will be a concert by The Swing Commanders.
Chesterfield Canal Trust will be running all three of its tripboats offering cruises along the waterway and there will be vintage coach rides to Barrow Hill Roundhouse for steam train rides.
Admission to the festival is £3 or free for under 12s.
The Duke of Devonshire has been invited to open the Festival on the Saturday morning.
