Youngsters from Dronfield enjoyed a day to remember in London when they raced along The Mall with Paralympic champions David Weir, Jonnie Peacock, pictured, and Hannah Cockcroft.

Pupils from Dronfield Infants were among 40 children taking part in a fun run as part of the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games, two years on from London 2012.

The youngsters bounced on space hoppers and did egg and spoon races.

The school was chosen as it has been one of the top collectors in Sainsbury’s Active Kids vouchers for equipment scheme.

Later pupils saw top athletes competing in races along Horse Guards Parade.
