DONCASTER Deaf Trust celebrated the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style with a street party on its Leger Way campus.
Pupils, students and staff from Doncaster School for the Deaf and Doncaster College for the Deaf, near Doncaster Racecourse, joined together for a traditional style street party to mark the Queen’s 60 year reign.
Staff wore fancy dress in red, white and blue and the campus was transformed with bunting, banners and flags.
More than 250 pupils, staff and students enjoyed 1950s food and entertainment.
Bobbie Roberts, who chairs the trustees in charge of the school, said: “The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is such a wonderful milestone that we all felt we had to mark the occasion.”
