Former Sheffield Sharks skipper Todd Cauthorn put students from Ecclesall Junior School through their paces for National Fitness Day earlier this week.

Cauthorn’s Fit For Sport company hosted the session for Years 3-6 students and provided advice about how much exercise children need to stay healthy.

He said: “Children need 60 minutes of activity a day to keep fit. We had a lot of fun during break-time with different activities and a ‘jumping challenge’.

“We explained about how you can increase the amount of activity you do by simple things like walking to school, for example.”
