A young netball star has unveiled a new adventure playground at a Sheffield school

Claire Wilsher, who lives in the city and represents England in its U19 squad, did the honours at the Sheffield High, Junior and Infant school facility.

The 17-year-old student at King Edward VII School threw the first ball in a school netball tournament to mark the occasion.

Parents and former staff attended the launch of the playground, which now includes different activity sections such as a pirate ship and a climbing wall.

Year 6 students also performed choral speaking, a specially-made cake was served and school head girls Niamh Kane and Ruby Wood gave a vote of thanks.
