Help will be in place for anxious A-level students

Students waiting for next week’s A-level results are facing extra anxiety caused by changes to marking schemes, according to a leading Derbyshire councillor.

Coun Kevin Gillott, Derbyshire County Council’s cabinet member for children and young people, said support services would be in place to provide help.

“We’re obviously aware of grade boundary changes and that this might be causing students additional concern.

“We want to reassure everyone that no matter what the result may be there is help available for them.”
