More gipsy sites on agenda for Sheffield

Sheffield is to explore potential locations for gipsy and traveller sites in the city.

It is under pressure from the Government to assess the level of need, how it is currently being met and to produce a plan to address the situation.

A study earlier this year indicated 50 extra pitches were required. Now the council is being told it must firm up its strategy.

Public consultation will be held on what has proved to be a contentious issue in the past.
