Sheffield College has extended its partnership with a leading industry organisation, signing a new five year agreement.
The college created the Glass Academy two years ago to provide training and skills development opportunities for young people with support from the British Glass Manufacturers’ Confederation.
It also provided work experience placements, interview practice sessions and careers advice on the industry and other science-based careers.
The new deal will seek to extend a range of initiatives that will promote the glass industry, helping train its recruits of the future.
College chief executive Heather MacDonald said: “We are delighted that this relationship is continuing as both organisations share the same vision.”
