Sheffield academics will be joined by delegates and childcare practitioners from across the UK for a three-day conference on the topic of children’s everyday lives.
Participants from 27 countries are expected to attend the event hosted by Sheffield University’s Centre for the Study of Childhood and Youth.
The conference will focus less upon the problems, special events and extraordinary aspects of children’s lives and instead will explore children’s own everyday experiences of childhood.
Session themes will cover peers and siblings, cites and urban life, war and natural disasters, historical childhoods, African experiences and migration.
The conference will run from July 1 to 3 at Kenwood Hall Hotel, Sheffield.
