Wentworth and Dearne Valley MP John Healey visited Wath Comprehensive School’s sixth form for a question and answer session as a follow up to the students’ visit to Parliament.
History and politics students visited the House of Commons during a trip to London, touring the House, watching a debate in the chamber and taking part in a workshop on different electoral systems.
Mr Healey said: “The students asked intelligent and interesting questions and it was clear they got a great deal out of their visit to the Commons.”
Head boy James Higginbottom said: “Mr Healey was forthright and candid in his answers to the questions asked, of which he had no prior knowledge. The afternoon was a suitable bookend to our visit to Parliament.”
