Forty Year 9 students have returned to Silverdale School from a cultural trip to Granada in the south of Spain.

Their itinerary included trips to see flamenco dancing, an Arab market and the village made famous by Chris Stewart’s book, Driving over Lemons.

There was tapas and a chance to test their language skills. “They all arrived back home exhausted but happy, enriched by their

experiences,” said a school spokesperson.
