YOUNGSTERS donned cowboy hats and showed off their finest Wild West moves at a school’s annual stage show.

Students from Sheffield Park Academy, as well as several primary schools, performed the show – called Canned Heat In My Heels – in front of sell-out crowds of parents, guests and residents from the local Manor community.

Over 300 people saw the shows, with students from every year group tackling ballet, contemporary, tap and street dance. A number of self-choreographed pieces by the sixth form students were also included.

Parent governor Cathy Ross said she was proud of the school and its pupils.

She said: “I was bowled over with the talent that the youngsters showed.”

The event was part of the academy’s performing arts programme.
