A BIG-HEARTED employee’s chat with a homeless man on a night out has spurred her on to help others.
Deepcar resident Kat Buck who works at A4e on Queen Street, Sheffield, has organised fellow staff to donate food parcels, warm clothing and their time to local homeless shelters this winter.
When the 28-year-old met the homeless man she and a friend chatted to him as they had no spare change.
Kat, a group internal policy co-ordinator, said: “It was a cold night and he didn’t have any warm clothes on.
“I went away worried that he, and people like him, have nothing when people like us have a new coat each winter and scrape our plates into the bin each night when we’ve overdone it on the pasta.”
