GIRL power was on display when England football star Jess Clarke met Rotherham school pupils.
The England midfielder was drumming up support for the national women’s team when they clash with Canada at Rotherham’s New York Stadium on Sunday, April 7, and to encourage children - particularly girls - to take up the sport.
Students from Wickersley Northfield and Flanderwell Primary schools took part and Jess, aged 23, was surrounded by an army of adoring fans.
She ran coaching sessions and took part in Q&A.
She said: “I’m hoping the children will be inspired to come and cheer us on.”
