sheffield will play host to a series of outdoor Shakespeare performances this summer.
GB Theatre Company is bringing two of the Bard’s most celebrated plays - The Tempest and The Taming of the Shrew - to South Street Park next week.
The touring company will perform the works at the open-air amphitheatre which overlooks the city from Wednesday, August 1, to Saturday, August 4.
Barrie Palmer, director of GB Theatre Company, said: “We are delighted to be performing William Shakespeare’s epic play The Tempest and the hilarious comedy The Taming of the Shrew in such wonderful surroundings.”
