Backing for chapel apartments project

A scheme to convert an old Sheffield chapel into housing looks set for council approval next Tuesday.

Councillors will be advised to give the go-ahead for six one-bedroom apartments in the former Salvation Army building off Queen Street, Mosborough.

Planners say the scheme is “not without its complications” because of the design and limited off-road parking, but none of the issues outweigh the desire to find a suitable use which will secure the chapel’s long-term future.
