A free family fun day aimed at people with disabilities is to take place at Hillsborough Arena this weekend.

The event will run between 11am and 3pm and is open to all.

It will offer the chance to try out sports including football, rounders, darts and bowling, as well as indoor games like giant Connect Four.

There will be a bouncy castle, music, a licenced bar and Café open along with other fundraising activities in aid of the designated charity, Parkinson’s UK.

This event has been launched to promote Hillsborough Arena’s efforts to become an official ‘disability hub’.

Jamie Bland, from Hillsborough Arena said: “I want this inclusive sports hub to be seen as a resource for disability services as well as a chance for participants to gain confidence and learn new skills.”
