Visitor numbers were down on the usual turnout, but the annual Lowedges Festival still went ahead as planned.
Friends of Greenhill Park, where the event was held, and the Greenhill Tenants’ Association decided the show would go on whatever the weather on Sunday.
A sheep show with sheepdogs was one highlight, as was the dog arena with dog agility displays.
A classic car show drew plenty of attention with vehicles including vintage tractors, vans, lorries and motor bikes.
Jean Graham, aged 76, a member of AgeWell Low Edges, said the day was very important for the estate.
She said: “Everybody knows everyone else around here and just about everyone comes to our tombola – we’re famous for it.
“I’ve lived on the estate for 47 years and I wouldn’t miss the festival for the world.”
