Firefighters rescue injured student from Sheffield building site

Firefighters have rescued a student who was stuck on a building site after injuring his ankle.

Paramedics and a fire crew were called to Matilda Street, in Sheffield city centre, at around 3.30am this morning.

The 20-year-old man was trying to take a short cut home when he hurt himself.

He was being helped by his sister and friend, but they called for help when they were unable to get him off the site.
