Firefighters rescue man stuck on roof in Sheffield

Firefighters had to rescue a man from the roof of a flat after he lost his keys.

A fire crew from Elm Lane station were called to Pinfold Lane, Pitsmoor, Sheffield at around midnight last night.

The man had lost his keys to his flat and was stuck on the roof.

Firefighters got him down safely.

The crew were later called to Shiregreen Cemetery, in Shiregreen at around 2.30am to extinguish a conifer fire.

In Rotherham, firefighters were called to an arson attack at Asda, on Aldwarke Lane, at around 9pm last night.

An industrial skip containing paper and cardboard had been deliberately torched.

They were at the scene for around 90 minutes.
