Police have cordoned-off a home on a Sheffield estate following a serious incident.

Officers arrived at the property in Fairthorn Road, Firth Park, at around 8pm last night.

According to residents on the street, a team of forensic officers arrived soon after and remained inside the property for around three hours.

One resident said police had taken a man from the scene in handcuffs.

Forensic officers reportedly returned to the property again earlier today.

The cordon was lifted this evening.

South Yorkshire Police have yet to comment on this incident.
