DETECTIVES investigating the death of a man whose body was found in Page Hall in the early hours of Monday have ruled out foul play.
The man, not yet named by police, was discovered in a pool of blood at the junction of Page Hall Road and Hinde House Lane at 5.30am.
He was in his late teens or early 20s. His death has been referred to the coroner.
Residents woke to find the length of Page Hall Road cordoned off, along with side streets.
Saeed Hussain, aged 36, whose father runs the Washeteria laundrette next to the scene of the incident, said: “This is a close-knit, family-orientated area – everybody knows everybody, so for somebody to have died, or have been hurt, will cause upset.”
Police are appealing for information.
