Members of Sheffield Model Railway Society, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, held an exhibition last Saturday at Davy Sports Club in Prince of Wales Road, Darnall.

Secretary Keith Ballam, aged 70, said: “We have about 30 members, all men. We don’t seem to be able to attract the ladies – and younger men are pretty rare too.” The society meets in Neepsend on Thursdays.
